About Adventure Chiang Rai

Who We Are
Adventure Chiang Rai was started by Jeffrey Clair and his wife Worranart.

Jeff is an American who settled in Chiang Rai after travelling extensively in SE Asia, India and Japan. His zeal for rock climbing in Northern California was replaced by a passion to explore the natural beauty of Northern Thailand and to learn about and assist the tribal people and their unique cultures. He spent over two years volunteering at various NGOs in Thailand and India and that experience is what motivated him to create Wake Up Tours in order to promote educational tourism.

Worranart is an ENT doctor at Chiang Rai Public Hospital. She graduated from Chiang Mai University and has traveled to the U.S. and Japan.
