Crazy Climbing Thailand has become a mecca for climbers of all nations, especially in the cold winter months. Strong climbers descend on the beach area during the winter months and scale the beautiful limestone using a combination of brute strength and acrobatic moves that could impress even a ballet dancer. If you have never been to Railay Beach near Krabi, you are missing a real scene. Although the climbing in Chiang Rai is not nearly as varied, developed or as well known as that in the south, it is easily accessible, cooler and not nearly as over-crowded. The views are great and the climbing is fun for a beginner or the climber who wants a workout while visiting the north. There is also some reasonably good bouldering so if you want to be on the rocks for a full day, we offer a combination of climbing and bouldering.
