Mad Motorcycle Touring
If dirt roads, no traffic, low population density, remote hill-tribe villages and lots of saddle time attract you, we can put a smile on your face. Northern Thailand and Laos are great places to ride as there are thousands of kilometers of undeveloped roads and trails that take you through the jungle, along the high mountain roads and to hill tribe villages. (However this is rapidly disappearing because of development projects.)
    During rainy season, from May until October, the roads can be slippery so we strongly recommend that you have prior experience before joining a tour. In the winter months or during hot season, the roads are much easier to manage although they can be dusty. At this time novices are welcome.
    For our tours we use Honda XR, Degree and Baja 4 stroke 250 cc motorcycles or Yamaha Serow 225 cc bikes. All are in good shape and the tires are in good condition. We recommend you sign up early for the longer rides as space is limited.
     We are currently putting together a Silk Road Tour that will take participants from Thailand, to Laos, to China, across Tibet and into Nepal, returning through Myanmar.
