Mountain
Bike Blasting
- The Lonely Planet says Chiang Rai has little to offer. Obviously
the author never put down his pen and picked up a mountain
bike. With thousands of kilometers of unpaved roads, trails,
rolling hills and lush vegetation, Chiang Rai offers it all.
For scenic dirt roads, leisurely jungle trails, back road escapes, technical single trail riding or hard
hill climbs, Chiang Rai can not be beat. We offer various
tours for different fitness and experience levels and include
high quality bikes. We also arrange custom tours if there is nothing on our list that appeals to you.
When choosing a tour be sure to look at the technical and physical difficulty ratings. A technical difficulty of 5
indicates there are at least some parts of the ride that are very technical, requiring experience to navigate safely. This includes single track trails
along steep ravines or other dangerous places. A 1 indicates a very straight-forward
road or trail, but not necessarily flat. The fitness rating is for an average person who cycles two to three times a week and is in
good shape but not a pro. A 5 would indicate a very physically challenging ride, long or with lots of hills, while a 1 means it will most likely be a shorter distance with few hills.
If you are concerned about a rating, ask and we can give you more details.
