Huay Kaew Waterfall Forest Park and Huay Mak Liam Hot Spring
Description: Located in the territory of Ban Pong Nam Ron, and Ban Pha Prasert in Muang Chiangrai, this preservation area covers approximately 4,700 rai. The Royal Forest Department proclaimed it a forest park on December 3, 1997

Directions: From the Bus Station go South and turn right on RuamChit Tawai Rd. Although this road changes names, follow it all the way to the end, where it becomes a dirt road. There are signs directing you to the hotspring and waterfalls along the way. It is about 23 km from the Bus Station to the hotspring.
Highlights:
Huay Kaew Waterfalls is a 3-stage waterfalls, approx. 10 meters heigh, with water year round.
Huay Kaew Hot Spring is a huge hot spring with an average temperature of 67*C. It covers approximately 1 rai next up to Kok River. There is a cooler area for soaking. This area near the river and springs is a great place for camping. It is possible to trek from the hotsprings to the waterfalls in about 1.5 hrs.
