Tour: Akha Life Work Camps
Description: Akha Life is an NGO that works for sustainable development, ecology and the preservation of traditional Akha culture. Located in the Golden Triangle area of Chiang Rai, they offer monthly work camps to provide you with an opportunity to experience Akha culture by living and working with a family and working on a project that benefits the community.
For a two week stay, the cost is $300 which includes food, transportation and accommodation. Of this, $150 goes directly into buying materials for the monthly project. The project changes from month to month and takes place in different villages. To learn more about a specific month's project, email us at info at adventurechiangrai.com. There is also time on the weekends to go sightseeing and do some trekking.
